Wijnen met ballen, lekkere hoerige wijnen en andere seksistische proefnotities. Doorgaans goed bedoeld, maar ze zeggen meestal meer over de gebrekkige woordenschat van de proever, dan over de kwaliteit van de wijn.

Het populistische tijdschrift WineLife  riep enkele (vrouwelijke) proevers/schrijvers op om meer seks in hun verhalen te stoppen. Hierbij mijn bijdrage, al is het alleen maar om te laten zien hoe dat moet en hoe zinloos dat is…. Wines with balls, deliciously slutty wines and other sexist tasting notes. Usually well intentioned, but in general telling more about the lack of vocabulary of the taster, than about the quality of the wine.
The trendy magazine WineLife advised some (female) writers to add more sex to their stories. This is my contribution on how it’s done and how ridiculous it is……

Tussen de grote, traditionele importeurs en de talloze hobbyisten met webwinkel zonder al te veel toegevoegde waarde, vinden we soms enkele veelbelovende nieuwkomers. Deze laatste kwalificatie is zeker van toepassing op Wijnand Broer en Ruud de Jong, de talentvolle en enthousiaste oprichters van Bubbles by Bruud uit Rotterdam. Among big, traditional importers and numerous hobbyists with webshops without too much added value, we sometimes find some promising newcomers. This last qualification certainly is applicable to Wijnand Broer and Ruud de Jong, the talented and enthusiastic founders of Bubbles by Bruud from Rotterdam.

Henk Maas, owner of Le Vin en Direct, recently received his guests with a glass of Taittinger champagne in Hotel Bloemenbeek in De Lutte. The occasion: a tasting with several wines of the Spanish winery Roda, in combination with dishes created by Chef Lars van Galen, this year’s winner the Golden Chef’s Hat as well as the 45^th Prix Culinaire ‘Le Taittinger’.
